Scholarship to ACCE Convention available . . .The CANYS Board has decided to partner with ACCE in providing two scholarships to ACCE’s Convention, August 11-13 in St. Louis. These scholarships will cover registration fees to the conference – up to a $709 value to you or another of your staff! ACCE Conventions provide education, information, and networking opportunities for all chamber professionals. More information on the conference can be found HERE. CANYS Institute Scholarship Winner . . .Congratulations to Peter Aust, of The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County, winner of the 2005 CANYS scholarship to the U.S. Chamber’s Institute for Organizational Management. Peter will receive a $1,000 scholarship to help offset the costs of attending his second year of the 3-year U.S. Chamber-sponsored program. U.S. Chamber’s Eastern Region GAC conference . . .Wednesday to Friday, October 5-7, 2005 is the date for the U.S. Chamber’s Eastern Region Governmental Affairs conference in Boston, MA. The 3-day conference is packed with comprehensive government affairs programming. Sessions feature provocative speakers and open, candid discussion so participants can learn about the latest government affairs practices and trends -- from nuts-and-bolts to advanced activities. The conference will be held at the Boston Park Plaza hotel. Registration is $175 for early bird U.S. Chamber members, $199 thereafter, and $275 for non-U.S. Chamber members.
