On the Map: an exciting opportunity in destination marketing . . .

The CANYS Board, under the leadership of Kenneth Adams, chair, is pleased to announce a new destination marketing initiative called On the Map! On the Map is a competitive grant program for CANYS members to identify and promote "best practices" in local promotional efforts. CANYS will make three grant awards next spring to the selected CANYS members to support innovative destination marketing projects -- events, publications, promotional campaigns, etc. -- that put those communities "on the map." Eligible chambers must have 900 or fewer business members. Awards of $20,000, $10,000 and $5,000 will be made to the three winning proposals. Altria Corporate Services, Inc. is serving as the lead sponsor of this CANYS project.
