CANYS consists of local and regional chambers of commerce from all areas of New York State. Each professional chamber has at least one full-time staff member, and the minimum membership investment is $230 per year.

CANYS is governed by a 12-member volunteer Board of Directors.

CANYS Chairman for 2008 is Todd Shimkus, President of the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce.
